Abstract

This article proposes a critical analysis of the presence
of women in Brazilian law, covering everything from
historical and philosophical aspects to the contemporary
challenges faced by women lawyers. Furthermore, it
investigates the perspectives and strategies to promote
gender equality in this field, as well as the impacts of
OAB Provisions 164/2015 and 202/2020. Through an
interdisciplinary approach and bibliographic analysis, the
historical evolution of female participation in law, current
challenges, initiatives for gender equity and the effects
of institutional policies are examined. This study
contributes to the advancement of academic knowledge
and the promotion of a more inclusive and representative
law practice, standing out for its social, legal and academic
relevance in the Brazilian context.
