análise a partir da APN 943/DF
Keywords:
Violence, Gender, Equality, FemicideAbstract
This text examines the Superior Court of Justice’s decision in APn 943/DF, reported by Justice Antonio Carlos Ferreira, on domestic and family violence against women. The author analyzes the case in light of the Maria da Penha Law and legislative experiences in Spain and Chile, highlighting women’s vulnerability and the importance of a gender-sensitive justice system. The study highlights that gender, racial, and class inequality intensifies violence and revictimization, demanding public policies for prevention, support, and civil redress. It criticizes judicial delays and the statute of limitations on crimes that favor impunity. It also advocates for education on nonviolence and the strengthening of judicial and social action in combating femicide and structural misogyny.
