This article addresses the limits of piercing the corporate veil under Brazilian law, highlighting that the instrument cannot be used to target the assets of third parties who have no corporate relationship with the company, even in cases of suspicious donations between family members. It analyzes the need for due process and the use of appropriate instruments, such as the Pauliana action, to protect creditors in situations of potential fraud. It was the subject of a ruling in Special Appeal n. 1,792,271.
