When a judgment becomes final and binding but the parameters for applying default interest and monetary correction are unclear, it must be interpreted by the court presiding over its liquidation or enforcement. This article will examine whether, in this interpretation, the court should adopt the understanding prevailing at the time the judgment was handed down or whether, on the contrary, it may – or even should – follow the understanding established by binding precedent after the judgment became final and binding.
