In line with CAIXA’s institutional strategy of integrating sustainability, social impact, and governance at the core of its business, this article analyzes the structural elements of the Social, Environmental, and Climate Responsibility Policy (PRSAC), established by Resolution nº 4,945/2021 of the National Monetary Council. As a public financial institution and an operator of public policies, CAIXA plays a relevant role in promoting sustainable finance through the transversal incorporation of social, environmental, and climate aspects into its management practices, products, and decision-making processes, in accordance with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles. In this context, the article highlights financial education as a legal and institutional instrument for the protection of vulnerable consumers, capable of promoting financial inclusion, preventing over-indebtedness, and strengthening responsible consumption practices, thereby evidencing the dialogue between the PRSAC and the ESG agenda as a driver of sustainable development, socioeconomic inclusion, and the strengthening of CAIXA’s social function.
